Supported operations
Format ordinary numbers, compact numbers, percentages, currencies, long dates, date-times and natural-language lists, or sort lines using regional collation. The browser’s built-in internationalisation data supplies the conventions.
Dates and currency
Date output uses UTC, avoiding changes caused by your device timezone. Use an ISO date-time with an explicit timezone for unambiguous input. For percentages enter a fraction: 0.125 represents 12.5%. Currency formatting changes presentation, not exchange rates. Enter the ISO currency code you need; GBP is the example default.
Browser differences
Browser versions can have different locale data or fall back to a related locale. Rounding, spacing, numeral systems and compact-number thresholds may differ. Check output before using it in a publication or application.
